After Tony sold his chemical manufacturing company and moved to the Coachella Valley in 1987 he founded RESTORA™, specializing in decorative concrete restoration. Because there were so very few craftsmen experienced in the field, building the company was a difficult challenge. Now, RESTORA™ has over 20 experienced employees all trained and educated by Tony and RESTORA™ itself.
Tony was not satisfied with just the restoration, however. He reformulated products and coloring systems and expanded to simulating tile and stone. RESTORA™ is now the largest resurfacing company in the Coachella Valley and one of the largest in California.
Why has this company been so successful aside from the impeccable teamwork? Tony Sr. has never become complacent. Every year he has expanded the product lines and techniques, taking RESTORA™ to a higher level, one step at a time. He firmly believes in the old saying, “Whatever the mind of man believes and sees, he can and will achieve the positive action and persistence.”
As an engineer, he did research for 12 years. “Research,” Tony points out, “is the development of an idea.” RESTORA™ was developed from a continuing flow of ideas. RESTORA™ eventually expanded their creativity to interiors of homes. Often their textures and designs flow from the interior to the exterior—from living rooms to patios, pool decks, driveways and walks. Their resurfacing product, called Polykrete, has the added benefit of being 10% cooler than concrete tile or stone. RESTORA™ has completed in excess of 11,000 contracts here in the Coachella Valley.
